NCFE Level 2 Certificate

Overview

There is an emerging global epidemic of diabetes.

In the UK alone, 3.2 million people are diagnosed with the disease and an estimated 630,000 people have the condition but don’t know it.

It is believed that deaths from diabetes will rise by more than 50% in the next ten years. Simple lifestyle measures can be effective in preventing or delaying the onset of this chronic, debilitating and often deadly disease.

Understand the Initial Care of Diabetes
Understand the Treatment and Management of Diabetes

Eligibility

Fully funded subject to meeting the eligibility criteria:

Living in England
Have lived in the UK/EU/EEA for at least 3 years*
19+ at the start of the academic year (19-23-year-olds must have Level 2 prior attainment)
Not on an apprenticeship
Not completed any part of the course before

*EEA nationals will need to have obtained either pre settlement or settled status and provide evidence of this.

Delivered by Learning Curve Group (LCG) – national training and education specialists.

Online
Paper based learning is considered under special circumstances

Course Duration

The government-funded course will take an average of 6 weeks but depends on the learning provider and learner’s ability.

Awarding Body

NCFE CACHE or TQUK depending on location. Awarding organisations nationally recognised by the qualification regulators for each country of the United Kingdom.
